North Texas Gun Show Attendee Rules & Safety Procedures
We want every visitor to have a safe, lawful, and enjoyable experience at the North Texas Gun Show. Please review these attendee rules and safety procedures before you arrive at the DFW Car & Toy Museum at 2550 McMillan Pkwy, Fort Worth, TX 76137.
These policies are event rules, not legal advice. Firearm transactions, transportation, possession, and transfers must comply with applicable law and the procedures of the licensed dealer handling a transaction. When a question is not answered here, ask event staff, venue security, law enforcement, or the dealer involved.
24-HOUR EVENT SECURITY
24-hour security will be in place throughout the event, including overnight hours. Vendors remain responsible for properly securing their own merchandise and displays.
Firearm and Ammunition Procedures
May I bring a firearm into the show?
Yes, subject to the event’s entry procedure. Any firearm entering the show must be unloaded, secured with a zip tie, and have all magazines emptied. Firearms may be inspected at the entrance.
Review the complete Conditions of Entry and Plan Your Visit information before arriving and follow the instructions of event staff, venue security, and law enforcement.
May I carry a loaded firearm inside the show?
No. The North Texas Gun Show permits loaded firearms inside the show only when carried by licensed law-enforcement officers. This is an event policy and does not summarize every provision of Texas or federal law.
May I bring ammunition or loaded magazines?
Do not bring loose cartridges or loaded magazines into the show. The event’s current Conditions of Entry require magazines to be empty.
If you have a question about ammunition packaging, firearm check-in procedures, or a specific item, contact the North Texas Gun Show before arrival rather than guessing.
What should I do if a firearm's safety device is removed?
Do not handle or carry the firearm until the required safety device has been replaced. Ask the responsible dealer, event staff, safety personnel, or law enforcement for assistance. Do not alter a displayed firearm or remove a zip tie without permission.
Can I purchase or transfer a firearm at the show?
Firearm purchases and transfers must follow applicable federal, Texas, and local requirements and the procedures of the licensed dealer handling the transaction.
Bring the identification requested by the dealer, answer required questions truthfully, and ask the dealer to explain the transaction process before proceeding.
The North Texas Gun Show does not provide legal advice. For legal questions about a particular transfer, possession, transportation issue, or eligibility question, consult a qualified attorney or the appropriate official authority.
